So last night I decided to try something new and outside the norm for dinner. I had passed this small establishment on the east side a few times and decided to give it a try. One of my better decisions in a while! Anyways, walked in, ordered some gumbo to go, and had 10 minutes to kill. After checking out the photos of famous happy customers, Kathy, the owner, asked if I had been here before. I found myself almost apologizing for saying no, and she kindly invited me to sit down and wait.

Well, after learning that Kathy’s had been here in the same location for the past 18 yrs, I decided to mention FreeGoodee to her, as I knew the FREE advertising we could offer her would be worth its weight in gold. After giving her the basics on what FreeGoodee’s all about, and how we wanted to become the world’s largest source of direct giving, she absolutely lit up and started telling me about the Oprah she had just watched that featured “good people” who were trying to make a difference in the world by finding new and unique ways to help those who need! She completely got what FreeGoodee is about, and invited me to leave as many cards as I had to help spread the word! Hopefully soon we’ll see a free something coming from this incredibly cool restaurant! And, if you’re impatient like I am, don’t wait but be sure to mention FreeGoodee to Kathy, she’ll feed you right!!!
